Essential Herbs to Make Your Skin Beautiful

Nowadays we’re so hook with beauty products that we don’t even know what it’s made of. We just use it and Imagewait for the result and if nothing happens then we look for another product. Some of it may look effective however it has side-effects on the long run.

How about we use herbal plants to achieve the beauty that we want especially on our skin? Herbs are plants that have proven medicinal value. Some experts are now recommending herbs as part of various beauty regimens and it is now our natural beauty ally that can give glowing and moisturized skin. Here are some herbs that are good for our skin.

 

Chamomile

Chamomile is believed to be a safe herb to be used on the skin of adults and children. This herb is relaxing and mild that it can be used as part of your daily skin routine. It also have cleansing properties  and can be used quite effectively in a homemade face scrub specially for sensitive skin wherein you can’t just put any beauty products full of chemicals. Furthermore, it restrain inflammation of the skin and skin infections due to its antimicrobial properties that are excellent in treating inflammatory skin ailments such as eczema, rashes and psoriasis. These are just a few wonders of chamomile.

Lavender

Aside from its beautiful purple flowers and fragrant smell, Lavender has also great skin care benefits. The oil extracted from the lavender flower can become a means of the anti-aging process and the prevention of acne since it boosts the circulatory system and thus speeds up the delivery of nutrients and oxygen to cells and this will keep them healthy and renewed. Lavender oil when added to your bath can also rehydrate dry skin.

Neem

Neem tree is an evergreen tree and related to mahogany tree. Neem flowers have a range of uses, including aromatherapy, cosmetics, and health remedies. Because of its antibacterial properties this herb is now used as an aid in beauty problems such as acne, psoriasis, eczema and other conditions of the skin. It is also an odor remover and skin cleanser and it can even treat common hair problems like dandruff.

Sage

Sage is a herb that has been around for thousands of years and which was known as medicine, it was actually derived from the Latin word “salvare”, which means to heal or to save. Conventionally, sage oil is obtained from sage leaves and is used for skin care. Sage has a rejuvenating effect on the skin by just simply rubbing the sage oil on the skin. This renews skin cells, hence preventing the appearance of fine line and wrinkles. You can also use sage an astringent and a facial toner for oily skin. Sage is also a good source of calcium and vitamin A which are important for maintaining healthy skin.

Turmeric

When we hear turmeric we think of food without knowing that it is an inexpensive beauty aid. Turmeric is mainly used to ensure glowing, bright and fresh skin we always wanted. This herb can be used as a treatment that prevents bacterial infection as well as a mask for radiant and soft skin. It can also help seize the growth of unwanted hair. Turmeric when applied over-all the body improves skin tone and texture.
